Dr. Amanda Howland knew she wanted to become a veterinarian since Kindergarten. Growing up, she saw the joy and comfort animals brought to her family and others, and she was inspired to give back by helping animals live healthier lives. She earned her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and is excited to begin this next chapter caring for pets and the people who love them.
Dr. Howland has a strong interest in working with and treating working dogs, and she is especially passionate about surgery and continuing to advance her surgical skills. She looks forward to building relationships with clients, collaborating with her team, and providing compassionate, high-quality care to every patient she sees.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Howland previously coached girls varsity basketball at the same high school she attended, a role she found incredibly rewarding. She also enjoys spending time with her 6 year old German Shepherd and Labrador Retriever mix, Athena, who accompanies her on many of life’s adventures.
