CT Scan
Computed tomography, or CT, is a process of taking X-rays from different angles. It obtains and displays a cross-section of the area of the body being scanned. Unlike the two-dimensional picture an X-ray captures, CT scans allow your veterinarian to see the complete bodily structure. This method of diagnostics can help with conditions such as:
1. Dental disease, such as abscess
2. Head trauma
3. Middle and inner ear disorders
4. Tumors
5. Orthopedic conditions, such as hip dysplasia and joint degeneration
6. Brain or spinal conditions
Digital Radiography
Digital radiography (x-ray) captures black-and-white, two-dimensional images of the interior of your pet. It is used to evaluate a variety of pet health conditions, such as:
1. Broken bones
2. Foreign objects
3. Teeth
4. Heart
5. Lungs
Ultrasound
A veterinary ultrasound produces a 3-dimensional moving image of the interior of your pet. This is a non-invasive, painless, and radiation-free diagnostic method that is ideal for evaluating many of your pet’s internal organs, such as:
1. Liver
2. Gallbladder
3. Pancreas
4. Kidneys
5. Bladder
6. Thyroid
7. Reproductive organs
Endoscopy
Endoscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic test. It is used to identify abnormalities by inserting a camera that can view live images within specific areas of the body. Endoscopy is an important surgical tool used for foreign body removal and biopsies from many areas inside the body. We have the experience to perform a variety of endoscopic procedures, including:
1. Colonoscopy — Large intestine, including colon and rectum
2. Cystoscopy — Bladder and urethra
3. Gastroscopy — Esophagus, stomach, and first part of small intestine
5. Rhinoscopy — Nose and nasal cavity
