Preventive measures are always taken to ensure safety, but when the unexpected happens, we have veterinarians and technicians right by our side to aid in emergencies.

Meet the Groomer

Donna Romero has been grooming for 12 years and is licensed in the state of Texas. The East El Paso Grooming Parlor has passed inspection and implemented all the necessary measures required by the city of El Paso, including live cameras with a viewing monitor in our lobby. Donna specializes in senior, disabled, and difficult and aggressive pets.

Donna has worked in various grooming settings before, including Petco. She has learned industry standards and carries all the knowledge she’s gained throughout her years of service, including the need and process of disinfecting and cleaning workstations, kennels, and equipment between grooms. So you can be certain your pet is in safe, capable, and loving hands!

The Process

After checking in with reception in the lobby, the groomer will come out to give your pet a first-hand assessment. This assessment ensures that the pet is in good overall health. We will check your pet’s paws, teeth, nails, coat, and ears right before you so you see exactly what we’re seeing. If sedation is recommended, a doctor will always see and assess the pet to ensure safety. Once we take your pet back into the grooming room, they will experience:

a black and white image of a comb and brush
a bathtub with bubbles
a black and white image of a blow dryer
a black and white logo with scissors and comb

FAQ

What vaccines are required prior to grooming?
Every pet is expected to have their yearly vaccines. Dogs must have DHLPP, bordetella, influenza, and rabies vaccination. Vaccinations required for cats include feline distemper, FeLV (feline leukemia virus) and rabies.
How long will my pet’s grooming take?
You can expect no longer than 2-3 hours. The groomer will give you a better estimate upon arrive or you may schedule a pick up time during open hours.
Will my pet be sedated?
Because we operate out of an animal hospital and specialize in aggressive and difficult pets, upon doctor recommendation sedation may be administered with pet parent consent.
Can the groomer administer flea and tick treatment?
No, the groomer can only recommend seeing a doctor for treatment. If your pet has a case of fleas or ticks, they will not be groomed.
How far in advance do we have to schedule an appointment?
We ask that you book your appointment at least one week before your grooming appointment to ensure availability.
